Gently Down the Stream is a blog I started early in 2013. Inititally, I didn’t have any plan other than to play with blogging and see where it led. At the time I lived and worked in downtown, Guelph, Ontario.
In January of 2014, I began offering weekly meditation sessions in some shared office space, and, quite naturally, this site became a place to post details about the sessions and to occasionally blog (hmm, mostly re-blog) about things related to meditation practice and living a mindful life.
Today, I live, work and follow my passion for meditation in the Niagara region.
My passion for meditation is a part of a life-long journey to find balance, meaning and truth. For the past 18 years, I have found strength and peace of mind in spiritual practice and I lead these sessions and workshops out of a desire to create space for meditators of any (or no particular) spiritual tradition, to come together and sit in stillness.
Yoga (by which I mean her the asana limb of yoga – the traditional Hatha poses) is a much more recent undertaking on my journey. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in December of 2017 and I am excited to have the opportunity to open a home studio, in which we can gather locally to practice both yoga and meditation together.
