Hatha Yoga 9:30-10:45am
with Heather Fenton
Start your day with an energizing 75-min traditional Hatha Yoga class, combining postures (asanas) with breath (pranayama) to help you reduce stress, and increase strength, focus and flexibility. This is a regular Hatha class, but we’re having it on a Saturday morning!
Yoga Nidra 11am-noon
with Julie Boyse
Yoga nidra is a guided practice of deep relaxation into the liminal space between waking and sleeping. It is practiced as a powerful method for releasing ourselves from our conditioned mental and emotional habit patterns (samskaras) — the psychological imprints or impressions that give rise to our repetitive thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
We begin with a sankalpa, an intention formed by the heart and mind. It can be anything — a simple wish for health and wholeness, an affirmation of our worthiness and divinity, or it may reflect an aspiration to experience the fullness of our life with an open loving heart.
The practice of yoga nidra plants seeds deep in our mind for transformation and fulfillment!
Class will include a brief preliminary practice of gentle yoga to prepare the body, and then we will arrange ourselves laying down comfortably, with props and blankets, and be guided to conscious relaxation of the body and mind.
Attend either one: $15/class or use 1 class pass
Attend both: $25/both or use 2 class passes
