We will use basic buddhist practices of mindfulness and insight to investigate the nature of our experience. Our day will include periods of silent seated and walking meditations, instructions for practice (dharma
), Q&A and discussion. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators.
This workshop is designed as a ‘day-long intensive’ associated with the 8-week ‘The joy of inner stillness’ meditation series
, but you do not have to have taken the 8-week series to attend the retreat.
Sessions will be lead by Jill Davey
, who will be joining us from RiverSound Retreat in Fergus, Ontario, and Heather Fenton

* Your $35 registration fee covers lunch and the operating costs of the retreat. In the tradition of the Buddha, the teachers will offer instruction (
dharma) freely and will be accepting donations. The practice of giving (dana) in this way happens on the side of the teacher when they share the teachings and their experience, and happens on the side of the student when they support the teachers, in accordance with their means. This practice also allows us to offer the retreat at an accessible cost. If the registration fee is still beyond your means, please let us know and we will do our best to arrange a scholarship.
