CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Morning Hatha  Start your day with an energizing 75 mins hatha, combining postures (asanas) with breath (pranayama) to help you reduce stress, and increase strength and flexibility.

Evening Hatha  Wind down your day with a calm 75 mins hatha, combining postures (asanas) with breath (pranayama) to help you reduce stress, and increase strength and flexibility.

Gentle Hatha  Enjoy a gentler 60 mins hatha, with a series of modified postures (asanas), to suit any ability, and with breath (pranayama) to help you reduce stress, increase strength and flexibility.

Meditation  Gather your mind for a relaxing 90 mins meditation, with guided meditations, instructions for practice (dharma) and time for discussion and Q&A. In the May-June series we will explore the basic buddhist philosophy of self-cultivation, through the lens of the mahayana buddhist practice of the Six Perfections (generosity, discipline, patience, effort, meditation, wisdom). We will develop concentration and insight, with a focus on bringing the fruits of our meditation practice into our daily lives.


WORKSHOPS + RETREATS

‘Lovingkindness’ Half-Day Meditation Retreat
Saturday, May 19 | 9am–1pm   Mini-retreat! We will explore the cultivation of lovingkindness (metta), using basic buddhist practices of concentration and insight. The half-day will include seated and walking meditations, instructions for practice and discussion. We will practice silence. All levels. Light lunch and refreshments included. $25/person +HST

Re-Awaken the Embodied Self Workshop
Saturday, June 2 | 10am–2pm
  Return home, to centre, release old patterns and attachments, re-awaken access to your core resources – joy, curiosity, vitality. Join Katrina Bremner for Part I of the Authentic Reset Series. In this half-day workshop, she will combine meditation with interactive group activities and body work (both intuitive energy and hands-on healing methods), to guide you to re-awaken your embodied self.
Light lunch and refreshments included. $110/person +HST

Chakra Yoga Workshop
Saturday, June 16 | 9:30am–12:30pm  Join Megan Bennet for this half-day workshop. We will explore awakening our subtle body energy, through breath work, postures and meditation. The chakras can be thought of as an internal roadmap that guides us to becoming familiar with our vital life force and awakening us to our full potential. Please come ready to move and breath. Light lunch and refreshments included. $35/person +HST (or $30 for regular series pass holders)

Full-Day Meditation Retreat
Saturday, July 7 | 9am–4pm  Day retreat! We will review the practice of the six perfections (paramitas), studied during the preceeding weekly meditation series. Our day will incorporate traditional buddhist concentration and insight practices, including periods of seated and walking meditation, instructions for practice (dharma) and discussion. We will practice silence. All levels. Lunch and refreshments included. $45/person +HST
