Fall Equinox Celebration 2021

An all-day celebration of yoga + meditation!

Join us in person or online to celebrate the change of seasons. Sessions start at sunrise and end with a closing ceremony and simple fire ritual at sunset. This will also be our opportunity to mark International Peace Day (observed annually on Sept 21st).

All levels, all welcome! 

Offered freely; donations are appreciated. (You will receive an email after the class, inviting you to make a donation, or you are welcome to bring cash.) A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Niagara Chapter – Native Women Inc.

Please pre-register/book your class(es) below. You are welcome to come to multiple sessions during the day. Please no ‘no-shows’ as in-person spaces will be limited. Let us know if you need to cancel your booking!

Please plan to take part in our intentions practice on Sept 19, by taking a few minutes to write out your wishes while you’re here for class(es). These written intentions will remain private and the papers will be burned at the end of the day as a part of the fire ceremony.

Come Awake with the Sun


with Heather Fenton

Greet the sunrise with us (7:02am) and match the outer awakening of the earth, with an inner awakening of your heart in this mixed yoga and meditation class.

Balanced Flow


with Meaghan Scott

Come into balance on the most balanced day of the year (the Earth’s tilt is perfectly balanced: not leaning toward or away from the sun).

Beginning Yoga

Every journey starts with a single step. Take that step with this beginner-focused yoga class. Whether you’re new to yoga, or looking to re-discover the basics, this session is for you. Experienced yogis are very welcome for this standard hatha class too! Bring a beginner’s mind! 😉

Power Flow


with Kent Doering

Get ready to create some heat from the inside out with this Power Flow class matching movement with breath. This series of flows will energize, challenge and leave you feeling empowered. The class will end with a welcomed restorative pose to allow your mind and body to unwind. All levels welcome.

The Yoga Playground


with Amanda Tripp

A creative, free-spirited all-levels practice that explores the wonder of embodiment through self-massage, novel movement, meditation, mindfulness and breathing. Peacefully and playfully connect with the joy of movement.



with Mind Body Acro

Explore a combination of yoga and acrobatics practiced with a partner; guided for proper alignment, safety and communication. Bring a friend or make a new friend.

Ease into Yin

An introspective class, we’ll slow down and breathe deeply while settling into longer-held postures.

Slow Flow and Yoga Nidra

Wind down the day with a slow flow and guided practice of deep relaxation.

Closing Ceremony + Peace Day Observation

Join us as the sun sets (7:20pm) for an ‘intentions’ fire ritual and guided meditation to mark International Peace Day (observed annually on Sept 21).

Due to the space limitations and contact tracing for COVID-19, all students MUST pre-register for events. For planning purposes, we also ask that you pre-register for online classes (to make it simple for our teachers, classes with no one reserved for online 2 hours before the session will not be zoomed, ie. no last minute reservations for online).

You will receive an email after the class, inviting you to make a donation. Your support of our community is much appreciated. Donations will be split between the teachers and Niagara Chapter – Native Women Inc. Our preference is receiving Interac e-transfers to hello@gentlydownthestream.org (please note on the transfer what it is for). Or you will see a link in the follow-up email allowing you to donate by credit/debit card or your PayPal account. We are also able to accept payment directly by PayPal: paypal.me/streamyoga. Cash the day of the event is also welcome.

You can remove your reservation up to 24 hours before the start of a class. Within 24 hours before the start of the class you will need to email, phone or text us to let us know you aren’t coming. To avoid disappointing others who may be waiting for a spot, PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE YOUR RESERVATION!
