Summer of Love
an 8-week meditation course
Wednesday Evenings | 7-8:30pm
July 10 – August 28, 2019
Stream Yoga + Meditation, 819 Weaver Rd, Port Colborne
In this summer meditation series we will explore a mixed bag of practices for uncovering love, curiosity, light-heartedness and joy. Suitable for new and experienced meditators. Come for the full series, or drop-in to a single class at any time.
In addition to our usual practice of exploring Buddha’s teachings (dharma) in a way that is accessible, simple, nondogmatic and practical; during this 8-week series we will go ‘off road’ a little and sample a few practices from other traditions.

What to bring/wear?
If you have a meditation cushion or stool that you are accustomed to using, please bring it along. Bolsters, blankets, yoga mats and blocks are available at the studio. No special clothing is required, but it’s good to be comfortable, so please avoid restrictive clothing.
Can I drop in for one or two sessions only?
Yes! Classes are offered in a series but can also be considered to be ‘self-contained.’ Especially if you have come to previous series with us, and/or you are looking for a group of like-minded people to meditate with — it’s certainly appropriate to simply ‘come when you can.’ Drop-in fee is $15 (includes HST).

Who is leading the sessions?
Meditation + Yoga Instructor
Heather first met with Buddhist teachings in the Fall of 2000, and has since spent her time avidly exploring the nature of mind.
For two of the eight classes, Heather is delighted to have Julie Boyse, of Journey to Balance, joining us. Julie will guide the practice of Yoga Nidra (July 24) and will co-teach with Heather an evening of Bhakti Yoga + Mantra Chanting (August 14):
Julie is a Niagara-based yoga and meditation teacher. She loves guiding others to listen to their bodies, and connect with their authentic self…
